Farmhouses & Flora

Today we launch the start of a new series on the Real Farmwives of America and Friends called “Home and Garden." This is a segment which will weekly feature tips and pictures of various projects around the house or out in the yard.

If you haven’t figured it out by now Farmwives know the best dirt! (Weather it’s a Brookston Loam or a secret tip on how to get your flowers to be the envy of the neighborhood.) You’ll be sure to want to stop in each Monday to see how they put their farm life touch on every aspect of their home.  Each week they will be sharing what they use as fertilizer for their gardens, how they get their kids involved in yard work, or how they preserve their harvest to enjoy during the winter months.

The Farmwives are also a crafty and clever bunch (Weather that’s finding ways to be frugal or redecorating their houses.) This feature will show you creative ideas for do-it-yourself projects, kids crafts, holiday decorating and money saving tips.

As we say in the country, "a back door guest is always best" so feel free to stop back by next Monday and see what we are up to.

  1. Can't wait! I am trying to landscape a few places to have done by June 28 for a "gathering." Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
